Commissioning Ball: Bravo & Echo

This post should be dated back to 28 March. Event of the day is the Commissioning Ball of Bravo and Echo company in OCS..

My working timing have been screwing me up for the past 2 weeks.. 1st week, told to report at 9am but stated working at 12nn. 2nd week, told to report at 12nn, but stated to come at 9am. Checked the staffing list, noticed that both was last min changes and wasn't informed. Guess i will need to call up and confirm my working timing before work the day before. Anyway lesser and lesser functions this period. My race and exams are nearing also means no work for me. Maybe 2 more weeks of work and farewell C Cube..

Heard about this function the week before. Soooooo looking forward for it, knowing that half of the pax will be females! Like moving along a buffet line, eyes feasting on the revealing dresses of the ladies!!! @_@

Bravo and Echo batch is a small and sad commissioning cohort. Commission parade is small scale, personally feel any impact from it, if I'm the spectator.. Heard from someone.com that this batch are all JC or Distinction w/ merit students, that's not my point. My point is, their female partner will be usually JC students! From past Prom Night functions, JC girls somehow seems to dress better for night events. I know its stereotyping but i still stick to this thinking.

Good enough, the partners didn't disappoint my dried-up eye balls, desperate soul and nourished that filthy brain of mine.. muahaha!! Looks aside, somehow some of these girls seems to have this spoiled and arrogant attitude. Good to look but not good to have. Maybe its just my bad intuition..

Program of the functions is straight, western dinner, all single plated. Shall not run through the boring program. Basically I'm just serving a whole ballroom of kids (some pretty ones). Instead i shall share one frustrating point i noted..

These young commission officer had been thought ACPC (Appointment Certificate Presentation Ceremony), a ceremony which gives us our swords and certificate, follow by a western dinner. They should know basic dining manners! But i didn't see them during function!!

Fork and Spoon not parallel when eat finish, keep making me wondering whether should i clear or not. Same for their partner. Cant they just teach them some basic dining manners! Everyone eating like they have a 1 inch diameter mouth. Everyone just too peisah to eat.. argh~ Mostly wants to have white wine, because they see the rest requesting for it... (anyway white wine is the only wine avail for the dinner..)

Maybe everyone is excited impressing their partners during the dinner. The things that keep cadet through the grueling 9 mths of training, is the commissioning parade and commissioning ball (to me). The moment when we feel really proud, all the honour and glory to showcase to our loved ones, not being called 'sir' for everywhere we walk. You go MacDonald, you are also being greeted as sir or mdm.. Or if really desperate for it, come to Ritz. We form up in lines to greet and do farewell.

Looking at this batch, 72/08. cant help to dig back my old post and read my Commissioning Ball post. Commissioning Ball 16th June. Too bad its held in MM. If held in Ritz, it will be lotsa fun for me!! haha!
