Had to announced that last weekend is the most hectic!
Here is the break down.
Fri: 3rd Company ORD Dinner.
Name of the event: OPS Freedom Eagle.
Venue: Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel.
Cocktail at 1830, Dinner at 1930 till 2300.
Bits of performance and game.
Majority are video montages will the OC illustrating the journey of their NS life.
Good to see old faces, thou the event is quite boring. Does not have the usually rowdy atmosphere. Maybe due to a female partner next to every guy. Surprise to see the guys, dressed up like for some wedding dinner EVEN pulling chairs for ladies!! When dishes are on the table, no one made the initiative to help themselves... Being a Banquet staff and a super eater, sitting down and waiting to get served (which i think the hotel is not planned to go table service) . I just cant help but to stand up and help 'myself', as in serve to my lady partner first.
Overall, the performance and video montage is good. But lack of the vibrant atmosphere on my table.. Most of all, im the ONLY Det Comd who came from my batch!

Alex is one of the guys in my Detachment while I'm going through my Det Comd tour in CDO. Alex is my demolition man, 2 years older than me, yet humble and treat me with respect. I also respect him alot! At first sight, you mind think he is a chao ah beng.. Trust me when you see him, he gives you the typical ah beng looks. But after knowing him, i understand 'Never Judge A Book By Its Cover'
The stay was short, but managed to have slightly more conversation compared to yesterday! Maybe because i didn't see them for almost half the year and Alex parents are around
Sat: CDO Officer Gathering
Venue: Suntec
Suppose to meet at 1800, but reach at 1830.
Attendance wasn't as expected. Only 8 turned up. Out of the 19 who got commissioned.
First stop was to Beppu Ramen. Known for their spicy ramen with chili spicy ratings from 1,2,4,6 and 8. I tried 4! Its torturing!! I feel as thou my stomach is burning when i left the shop.

I can only sit and just listen to their conversation. Just when we are into this 'rich man' topic, a guy came to us. He is one of our batch boys, driving a BMW. After a few exchange sentence with him, we got to know he just pass his driving license!

Reiko is my cousin. This don't know her which year birthday. My aunt and uncle decided to throw her a party at the chalet. Went down just to help my uncle with carrying of celebration stuffs. As my cousin is in primary school, all her friends and their activities are out of my league. Planned was to join them at Escape Theme Park, but quite bored of the rides there as most are all high and high-speed. Life threatening to someone fear of heights and high speed like ME!
In the end decided to rent a DVD, Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull and spent my time in the chalet room . I know my life is boring~ But i got my siblings to accompany me as all of us don't like the rides! haha!
After the show, follow by cake cutting. Then Charlie Mike to my next gathering

Though of not going to this gathering, but since I'm invited and not knowing when i will see them again. I decided to make a short trip to the bungalow to check out.
After 2 days of ice-breaking, i managed to clique on quite well with them. No female partner. No formal ceremony. Final get to see the usual rowdy sight of 3rd Company! Hip hop music played on the background, different group of people busy with different things.
Highlight of that gathering was going through the days when i spent with them. Form training phase to ATEC. How CB our superior are. How unequal the treatment they received as compared to their 'sister' company, 4th Company....
Time flies when we enter such 'old days' topic. In the end stayed till 2345.
For the 3 days, every day i reached home at 0000. Main door closed and the lighting's all off when enter my house. Going to bath is a chore as i have to creep into my parents room, not to disturb them from their sleep.
