Christmas Week In Ritz Part 2 | Super VIP Table

The sat and sun work shift turns out to be quite fun for me!

Get to wear jacket and be captain for Saturday. Is actually quite a surprise for me. Got quite an ideal location to man the 4 groups under me even thou its across the aisle. Really felt awkward not able to carry oval tray. Somemore cant carry out my usual slack habit of walking to the back area that often. Also this time, i pushed my luck to help Lian Yin close voucher using the 'privilege' hahaa!! But this stunt cant be used to often...


Sunday, i manage to know my grouping before hand. Know that I'm not Captain. But my group is SUPER POWER!!!! 5 people to 2 tables! Out of the 5 at least 4 quite good already. Next thing i know when i when for briefing is, my manager asked to change to jacket. Still though he made a mistake, as I'm sure I'm not wearing jacket.

That dinner function i know is VIP, but didn't expect it to be so VIP! 6 Ministers attended! Then i know that the bride is actually the daughter of our PUB's boss.. The dinner is paid by him also, not the groom.

So out of my 2 tables. One of them have our Ritz's boss, Mr Kwee. Also Minister Mah Bow Tan and LKY's younger brother. All accompanied by their wives. Another table got Minister Teo Chee Hian. Argh~~ Was kept reminded to pull chair for them.. I NEVER EVEN PULL CHAIR FOR MY DATE LOR! There goes my virgin for pulling chairs..

Initially was very intense. Never serve so high profile guests before. But thanks to the super relax programme and staffs after 2nd course, i was much relieved. 4hrs dinner, 6 courses, 2 stoppage, each almost 20mins. I was so bored standing in the ballroom just listening to their speeches.. After dessert, then i see the rest of my group mates relax. Maybe i too slack liao, cant be as bothered as them.

Lastly got to thank Lian Yin for first time praising me in her blog!! haha!! Almost wanted to copy and paste what she wrote. But due to copyright issue, i decided not to do so. Got to say i really happy to be a few day captain. (sorry I'm not that humble haha!) Agree with Foo Wen, extra 1 dollar can make a difference in the long run. Somemore can look so SHUAI! haha! But would prefer not to be captain so often, everytime wear will lose it attractive-ness. If so, how to 'hong char bor' ahah! Anyway i know i very shuai already in normal uniform, just more shuai in jacket!!! With or without jacket i still can 'hong'!
