Coffee Break
So looking forward for this OC. Firstly, its my 'first date' with Chew Hung haha!! Only the 2 of us with Manager KC and a Chef. To me its a super power group, working with people whom i can work with. Secondly, its at APPLE! plus only a coffee break! means short working hours and easy money.
Was ask to can early to report at 6am, prepared everything and set off early. Just to know that when reach there, we are too early to reach the AMK Industrial Area. We need to wait around almost an hour till the person in charge arrive then we can enter to do the setup...
Manager KC, dressed so nice, yet stranded alongside of the road.
Finally got to enter the building.. Need to pass through 2 security gates before we arrive at the office. Pretty surprised that the whole place is damn quiet. While moving along the walkway, the only noise i can hear is the noise from our moving trolleys.
We had this German guy who is the liaison for us to get us in. He was surprise/puzzled & in doubt actually by the amount of stuffs we brought over. He even check with us whether the coffee break is just pastries and hot beverages.
C'mon you think we like to carry so many things meh. If we come over to serve pastries in cardboard boxes, beverages in plastic 10L cambro and fruits on plastic plates then why need 4 staffs including a chef!
We decently provided them with chilled fruits prepared in individual platters, beverages served in silver, well-polished urn constantly being heated, pastries of different kind even placed on display stands. Also Yogurts placed on crashed ice to make sure they maintain chilled. Side plates, Fork even Paper Napkins! all nicely laid by the side of the buffet line. I was unable to capture a photo of the overall setup. It was damn nice! Fully utilizing a 2m by 2m office area/desk, done up by our manager. *Salute
The purpose of this coffee break is to promote our Ritz service, hoping to work with them in the future. So this whole events is NOT PAID BY APPLE! Details come and ask me... A pretty good marketing strategy actually. So a total of 20 guests, we had 4 staffs (including manager and chef). We also have 4 sales personnel's to do the 'socializing'. Abit overkill, but the objective is met. Also we gave our coffee mugs as a gift!
Whole coffee break only last for 1 hour, actually is very long for one. Guests don't come as a pack, whereas they staggered coming forward for our foods and drinks. Maybe its Monday blue, everyone don't seems to be excited/motivated.
There is this incident that made me labeled this guest as an idiot.
We have this Tea Box with selection of teas in it. The brand is from Germany, so everyone is so fascinated about trying the tea selection. (majority of them drink tea) Here comes this pei pei (uncle) rushing for a meeting, but pass by just for a quick bite. So some of the ladies tell him to try tea instead of coffee, because they are from Germany..
Here the conversation between him and CH
CH: Sir, which tea would you like to have?
Pei Pei: Oh! I want German Tea!
CH: Erm sir, which selection would you like to have?
Pei Pei: The German one.. (WTF!)
Cube, interrupted: Would you like English Breakfast.
Pei Pei: No, i don't want English, I want German Tea.. (This guy is hopeless....)
So in the end he chose Jasmine Tea... which is Chinese Tea which is what you get to drink during Chinese function... Personally to me, it does not make sense to be drank for Breakfast neither to go well with any of the pastries.. Throughout the conversation i was giggling behind him, while poor CH have to bear with his stupidity.
Till a point of time where all guests had their drinks, i left the serving area and left CH to look after coffee station. Just a step away from her but separated by a office partition. Left her stranded within the crowd, listening to the conversations of the office ladies.

What a spacious Pantry they have!
But is a 1min walk from our serving area..

Do 'business' also shiok
Looking at their pantry just made me think of Kaiwen and her complains over her SIP workplace. KW for your info, there is 1 NYP student doing his last week of internship there! haha! Continue enjoy/suffer for your Internship...
Got this OC on last minute notice. Not sure of the details till i report for work. Got to know the office is at Keppel Bay Tower, Guest, this time round is BMW Asia Group with estimated 60 pax.
No much stories to tell for this events, basically same function as the APPLE coffee break. But the major different thing is the decor of the office. I will let the following pictures do the talking.

Left: Reception area (when enter the office)
Right: Office layout (turn left after the reception area)

Only words i can think of is Prestige and Class. Looking out from the window, you can see Sentosa (front), Marina @ Keppel Bay(Right), Singapore Cruise Centre's boarding jetty (Left) and Caribbean (Right)!
They have a full-time cleaner to man the pantry area and OMG! a DISH WASHING MACHINE! I bet the coffee from coffee machine (made from Swiss) is better than what we are serving.. End of the day, made Sabariah (SBH) to be our photographer. Taking pictures of us loading stuffs onto the truck.
Really an eye opening experience for me to see the office environment from these 2 OC.
I prefer Kaya Toast+Half Boiled Egg+Kopi for breakfast
