You've got mail! | Toxic Assets!

Just when big companies are overcapitalizing their balance sheet, selling away toxic assets and sorting out their off-balance sheets activities. Commoners like me is diving in, dumping in another half a grand into them..

This is what i received today! 2 Oakley Sunglasses and 3 Books, all purchased online!

Yup! You are not selling double.. Both the same, Oakley Juliet Ducati Limited Edition.

Managed to get some cost saving for shipping them in..
Shipping for both of them is USD$18 + SGD$14, total should be around SGD$41 +/- via VPOST. Still cheaper than shipping 1 sunglasses in via their local mail service which is going at USD$25++

So what books i bought this time and how much i paid?!

From Amazon
  • Microtrends (hard cover/used): USD$8.49 (including shipping within US)
  • The Undercover Economist (hard cover/used): USD$9.18 (including shipping within US)
  • Buyology (hard cover/used): USD$17.49 (including shipping within US)

Shipping charges into Singapore: SGD$23!!
Total should be SGD$60-70 for 3 hardcover books. Its used, but condition is really like new! Also hardcover books like these cost around $40+ each in local book stores.

Ok la maybe so people might not find it worthwhile. But this is my first experience getting books from Amazon. Transaction is straight forward, maybe because i had Paypal account to start off with and some background in eBay. Shipping Charges for them is pretty uniform (how big can a book be?). Maybe can look forward for more oversea shopping sites than eBay in the future like rei.com or so triathlon shops
