Airborne, All the way!

Finally got my airborne badge after my 3rd jump on Fri. Same as the first 2 jumps, the 3r jump is also from a heli. Whats the diff between heli and plane? well, nothing much just that you got a enjoy a free fall of 2secs which is equivalent to the time you take to jump from the 3rd floor to reach 1st floor.

I'm a guy who scare of height, especially when there is experiencing of G force. Jumping out from the aircraft really takes me lots of courage. Always after a jump, i would be physically and mentally shag out. why so? Wearing of the parachute itself is very tiring, we have to tighten all the straps till our back actually hunch and any attempt to straighten our back will put a strain on the lower back.

Upon boarding the aircraft, i will be so tense up, that unknowingly I'm tensing up the whole body muscle. I need to constantly calm myself down to be stable for the jump. Al thought we are always told that we are able to give up the attempt even when standing at the ramp, but giving up is not the option you wanna take at that point of time.

Well once you make the first step, everything will just take its course naturally. Most of the time, the next thing i would worried about is the landing. Landing we talking here is not what you see on national day, the way red lions land. Landing here is actually a hard crash onto the ground. You are lucky if you landed on the grass patch, while some others who are not that fortunate will land on hard tarmac taxi runway. Don't be too happy even when you landed on grass patch. why? there are incident where troopers got pulled by their canopy into drain or along a patch of mimosa.

In order to have the silver wing upon my chest, i suffered heart beat difficulty, had both my balls scattered around the airfield and killed almost a quarter of my brain cell. Ok, should be enough to end my experience on airborne.
