Time really pass fast when busying working, going to school and attempt to go for trainings.
Last week is quite a interesting week for me in Ritz again. My first Food Tasting after so long.. Even before i enlist, food tasting are usually handled by VIP staffs. On meeting room, setup with only 2 round tables. Only 1 table is used to serve the guest, whereas the another for display.
I was doing my usual 'guard man' job, waiting for a meeting to end. Then Amos (1 of the manager) came to me and say i will be taking charge of a food tasting. Tell me to prepare the necessary stuffs in 2 hours. EVERYTHING is done up already, so the '2 hrs to prepare stuffs' is more like an excuse for me to wonder around. haha!
Table settingAfter doing the Food Tasting, i find that its not that hard, because the guys usually just pick up food and do the portioning.. Haha can 'siam' the serving! Everything can be carried out slowly with grace. Unlike Ballroom, every course is like a race of time!
Another 2 days, i was involved in Ballroom night events. Only managed to remember one of them. 'Lanka Lion Club Cricket something something..' Its special because the theme of the event is 'JAMES BOND'. Inside the ballroom, they even setup mini casino for the guests to play.

Another thing about the dinner. Cocktail lasted from 745pm to 9pm! Dinner starts at 9 if not wrong. Cocktail beverage includes hard liquor, wines and champagne (almost like a full-open bar). So you can imagine 1hr of reception with hard liquor, PLUS most of them are Caucasians and Sri Lankians.
Glad to have a table of models with their boyfriends.. Gorgeously dressed with enough cloths just to cover their top while revealing part of their ample bosom. Sometimes looking at these dress. it makes me start to wonder whether they are meant to reveal or cover. With additional glasses of rum, vodka and whisky, the guests on that table started getting kinky and certainly gathered my and surrounding tables attentions.

All the above are for last week. This week, my intention is not to work. Decided to work yesterday's night event because i saw Anglo-Chinese on the event schedule. Thinking that its nearing the end or year . I thought it will be a PROM NIGHT!! Imagine all the xiao mei mei nicely dressed!!!
BUT! to my disappointment, yesterday dinner is a Charity Gala Dinner. -__-" means all the uncle and aunties, possible alumis of ACS. Lucky only 500pax, western set dinner and ends at 1030. The dinner is Wine-Pairing, means each course is matched with a wine. Appetizer with Champagne, Soup with White Wine, Main Course with Red Wine & Dessert with Dessert Wine.
Appetizer: Crab Cavier with Avocado
Soup: Cream of Tom Yam
Main Course: Grilled Chicken with King Prawn or Rib Eye Beef Steak ( i was aiming for this!!!)
Dessert: No idea what is it called with Petit Four

Due to guestes' overwhelming request for Steak, i had no choice but to satisfy myself with the Petit Four and Chicken Main Course.
Event ends at 1030 + OT till 0230 + Ballroom turned over by 12mn = 1hr supper time + 1hr slacking

Now you know whyIroning Organza while other guys pushing stage!
