F1 Outside Catering

Yeah finally backed from F1 OC for the last weekend.. one of the surprise i had is i was appointed as a manager for a suite. Usually part timers only get to be captain, so being manager is quite shiok. Imagine when they get the managers for the suites to gather, you are one of them being called out or people will come from level 2 just to get level 3 managers to get down.. haha!

But I'm so disappointed in the clothing. Just a plain white collared long sleeved to symbolized manager. I didn't managed to get a collared shirt so took a mandarin collar shirt which is for captains. Doesn't matter anyway.

By the way, I'm working at OCBC suite on level 3 of Paddock. Ground floor is where those large sized tamiya cars are located. Beside my suites are McLaren and Toshiba/Panasonic Suites. These 2 suites have teams in the race. Wanna see Lewis Hamilton? Well he appeared at McLaren's suite for some interview.. All the BQT girls are like going crazy to peep through the glass panel which separate the two suite just to see him real life.

All the suites are linked by a walkway cum gallery for guest to view the race. From there they can also see the pit stop area.

Interior Layout and Table Setting.

Program is the same for all 3 days just that the profile of the guest changes everyday. Means i will not be serving the same guest for 3 days. OCBC host this suite as a token of appreciation to their clients whom i think 'invested' quite a sum of money into their bank. Last day is different. CEO and Chairman of OCBC is around together with Ritz Carlton's Boss! Rest of the guest are mainly shareholders.

The day starts with High Tea @ 1600, Dinner @ 1800, Supper @ 2100.. Noticed the time gap is so tight! Guest need to eat, i also need to turn over! Turn Over: Refresh the table settings and set of dinner/supper. But problem is guest don't leave! They only leave when there is a 'Pit Stop Walk'. 'Pit Stop Walk' is part of the program to let the guest walk to the pit stop to look at take pictures with the tamiya cars.

My dream of mingling with the grid girls was realised! well in a way~

my 'pantry'

Most of the suites have pantries. Mine dont have! i have to walk pass Toshiba Suite just to dump my soiled plates. Imagine just to clear or pick up 2 plates, i need to walk 2mins! This area is a stairway which i used to setup my own pantry. On the left is Toshiba, right is my suite. Towards the 2nd and last day, i was kinda please with this 'pantry'. Why? No chefs, no real managers, no outsiders.. Prefect Snake Cave!

My Power Team!

My team consist of 8 girls, 6 guys, 2 bar personnel and 1 lady from the Singapore GP called themselves 'Suite Embassador' Total only 4 work before in F&B. The rest are FIRST DAY! Not only that, they are all 17 years old! from Ngee Ann Poly's some tourism course.

Guess what? NO SPILLAGE! Other suites' captains are always sharing how many unhappy events took place. I can only sympathized them by listening them and learn from their mistakes.

Looking at the picture itself you can tell who are those 17 years old.. Initially wanted to associate them with KW. But find that they are twit level is too high.. overwhelming twit-tism aura.

I'm standing on F1 track!

Ok i know standing on F1 track is nothing amazing. I used to be cycling on them. Some of the marks on the road is left by my road tires.. haha!!!

This picture is taken during OT when I'm pushing the stuffs back to Ritz.. Found out that the track is open so decided to use it to push carts back.

So that the end of my 3D2N F1 event. Stayed another night to help out in the next day morning breakfast in Ritz.

Working Hours
Fri: 8am to 330am (let off at 130am, 2hrs extra!)
Sat: 9am to 2am
Sun 9am to 330am
Mon 6am to 6pm
Do the maths how much i earn.
Take note, after Sun 12mn. Pay will drop from $10.50 to $6.50
