First book I read since Sec Sch

Ok the book i read is “Freakonomics”, which i borrowed from Wilson. It is definitely not a thin book with large fonts which i usually borrow from library to write book reviews in sec sch days. This one is almost an inch thick and font size of ¾ what you are reading now. It is written by Steven D. Levitt & Stephen J. Dubner. They are economist who explores the hidden side of things that we didn't think of in our daily life. Some questions they tackled are, “What do school teacher and sumo wrestler have in common?” and “Why drug dealers still lives with their moms?” Such questions does not come into our mind at all, partially because this book is U.S based. But what makes the book interesting is how the economists link them by mere data and statistic.

Its very unusual for me to read a book for those who know me. Even if i read, i usually go for camp craft, survival and IT books which are more knowledge-based. I never thought i would start reading again until entering OCS. It started when my warrant officer told me that officers have to seek continuous improvement which one of the method is by reading.

Thus i started by reading Straits Times, making myself more updated to current news around the world. Usually i only read Newspaper, and often on catchy news like teenage sex, premarital sex, rape and molest. Think you guys should see the link between them huh. Luckily, my sister subscribed to Straits Times, now they are piling up in my house for me to read whenever i book out.

Currently i am trying to get books on Investment and Unit Trust due to sudden enthusiasm in learning how to invest and making money. Any lobang on such books pls intro to me. Thanks

Life-long learning
