SAFTI Endurance Obstacle Course aka SEOC

Did my SEOC on Monday. A totally different experience from doing SOC and 5km SOC, back in my CSLC and BMT days.

SEOC comprises of 12 obstacles, all total distance of 3.5km and lastly, lotsa killer hills and steps!!! We did our trial test in the afternoon around 4pm. The sun is scorching hot, temperature is unbearable.

The obstacles are easy to overcome, but its the up slope and steps which stationed themselves along the course which really hinder our performance. By the time i overcome the 3rd obstacle, my lungs are about to burst and follow by welcoming flight of steps when proceeding for the 4th obstacle. My mind and muscle immediately raise the white flag and i started to walk. When i reach the end point, my whole body is like an overheated machine. Standing straight at that point of time seems to be the toughest thing to do.

The passing time for SEOC is 29:59, i completed it in 27:27 with 1 x dummy smoke grenade and dummy grenade, 3x dummy magazine and 2 x 1litre water bottle.

Aftermath of the SEOC had cause me to have lots of aches on my back especially my shoulder for carrying the load and rifle. My body felt fatigue and experienced burnout feelings, cant imagine i will be using this battered body for the CSB aka Combat Skills Badge, which comprises of 32km route march, water crossing and shooting in range.

Shagged, tired, fatigue, exhausted, worn out
