Combat Skills Badge aka CSB

It have been two days since my CSB, but my body is still suffering the aftermath of it. These two days I'm always tired and sleepy, shoulder and back still aching, not to mention the torturous abrasion in between my tights and blisters on my feet..

The route march started at 10 plus in the night., took us around 6 hours to complete it. It excludes the time taken for river crossing, shooting in the range and rest points. The overall match ended at 10 plus the next day morning.

The march didn't start off that bad for me till it reaches the river crossing. My socks and clothing are drench wet, together with the sand from the shore, they make a prefect formula for getting abrasion. Whats interesting is, i got a very nice rubbed out abrasion on my back which comes out as a diamond shaped just below my neck. While admiring the piece of art on my back, i notice that the abrasion on my groin also seems like another 'art piece', a pinkish colored butterfly.

Marching throughout the night wasn't really a virgin experience to me since i came from a trekking background and Commando had further polished me in CSLC.
And here are some things i do and dislike when doing marching or hiking.

Do.
Walk at my preferred pace.
Close my eyes to rest at each end points
Sing when i feel like to.
Motivate people when necessary.

Dislike
People annoying me asking me not to sleep/close eyes at rest point.
Keep asking me to sing with them
Got motivated my someone.

Personally I'm a person who feel that i can motivate myself for march. If i really cant make it, i will sound out and request for help. My eyes gets tired easily walking in the night, so just let me close my eyes when resting! However, really glad to see my platoon mates motivate and encourage each and other till the end by singing.

After the march, we are presented with our CSB badge. We are also rewarded with a night off till 2300 on that day. However, I stayed back and slept in my room to recuperate from the exhausting CSB and SEOC. Body felt so burnt out that i had to consume Panadol to sleep.

One more collection to my left chest, left with the last one which is coming after my Brunei trip which is just 2 more weeks away. Jungle Confidence Course aka JCC wait for me!!
